Members of First Presbyterian participate in the CROP walk to provide food and water for people in the local area, the nation, and the world. The walk itself emphasizes the effort and time it takes people in some areas to get to a water source and to carry the heavy containers of water back to their homes. Twenty-five percent of the funds from the Walk can be used locally, the remainder used not only to feed the hungry worldwide but also to provide seeds or animals for their long-term sustenance.
In 2018, eight congregation members completed the CROP walk and netted $1450.
