Hours of Operaation:  2:00 to 4:00 p.m.     Second and fourth Thursday of each month throughout the year.

Food Bank Drives

January…..canned vegetables

February …peanut butter

March……..apple sauce

April………canned stews and soups

May……….soap-bar soap, dish soap

June……….canned fruit

July………..boxed jello and pudding

August……..boxed cereal

September…canned meat (tuna, chicken, Spam)

October……dried or canned milk

November…..fruit juice

December…..paper towels and toilet paper

Our Food Bank makes an important contribution to the well being of members of our community. In 2015, 1368 families were served and between January 1 and July 31 of 2016, 618 people have been served..  There are 18 active volunteers involved in working in the program.

 

Although most of the food for our Food Bank is purchased from the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, the congregation contributes generously.  Food items can be placed in the box marked “Food Bank” inside the main entryway of the church or in the box in the hallway across from the Food Bank on the first floor.  Monetary contributions should be given to the Financial Secretary, Barbara Bombassaro, and anyone wishing to volunteer can contact her at (540)943-8366.
